Art is Life

The Architecture of Self

A Field Guide for the Hybrid Mind.

I am a Third Culture Kid, a Systems Thinker, and a Maker.

Living between cultures and disciplines can feel chaotic. To navigate this, I treat life not as a series of random events, but as a system to be understood, designed, and optimized.

This site is a documentation of that process—bridging the gap between the philosophical “Why” and the physical “What.”

I. The Source Code (Why)

Philosophy & Identity

Before we build, we must define the parameters. My foundation is built on the inquiry of self and home.

  • The Third Culture Perspective: I exist in the liminal space between my roots in South East Asia and my life in the Pacific Northwest. I use this hybrid viewpoint to question the rules we accept as default.
  • The Inquiry: I am driven by the hard questions: moral realism, the mechanics of free will, and the recursive nature of consciousness.
  • The Mission: To decode the underlying rules of our reality so we can design better ways to exist within it.

II. System Design (The How)

Digital & Logic

Insight requires a vessel. I use digital tools to structure chaos into clarity.

  • Visual Strategy: As a design consultant for organizations like ActionAid and Beautiful Trouble, I translate complex social issues into clear, actionable visual narratives.
  • Creative Technology: I build utilities that merge aesthetics with function, such as the Ohuhu Color Palette tool. Philosophy exploration Apps.
  • AI & Optimization: I leverage artificial intelligence not to replace creativity, but to expand the bandwidth of what one person can achieve.

III. Fabrication (The What)

Matter & Motion

I believe in the sanctity of holding your ideas in your hand. My studio in Eastern Washington is the lab where the digital screen meets the physical world.

  • Rapid Prototyping: Using Bambu and Elegoo printers, I turn code and concept into tangible artifacts.
  • Drones & Robotics: I pilot drones to explore beauty and perspectives, the raw sensation of flight, and build electronics to explore mechanics.
  • The Output: If I can think it, I want to physically touch it.

IV. Transmission (Who)

Story & Voice

Insight is useless if it stays locked in the system. This is for the Third Culture Kids and the Polymaths—those who have too many interests and need a framework to hold them all.

  • Narrative: I explore social commentary through art, storytelling, and digital media.
  • Community: I am developing concepts for shared spaces that hybridize the utility of a tool cooperative with the warmth of a café.
  • The Connection: I share my patterns so you can find yours. We are not lost; we are just compiling.
